As the third and final day of Turing Festival we're looking forward to hosting a developer focused workshop introducing coding with the blockchain. We're bringing in Konstantin Kudryavtsev, Senior Technical Analyst at Ethereum to lead what should be an interesting and engaging day. We hope to see you there...
Ethereum is a decentralised platform that runs smart contracts: applications that run exactly as programmed without any possibility of downtime, censorship, fraud or third party interference. It's a blockchain-based virtual machine featuring stateful user-created digital contracts and a Turing-complete contract programming language. After being crowdfunded in August 2014 by fans all around the world, the first release (Frontier) took place on 31st July 2015.
This is a hands on workshop, so you'll need to bring a laptop. During the course of the day, we'll cover:
- Understanding the mechanics of the blockchain
- Working on developing smart contracts
- Understanding how to build decentralised applications
- Understanding the Ethereum stack
- Familiarising with the Ethereum ecosystem
We'll keep you well fed throughout the day and put on some drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to wind down with at the end of the day. Places are extremely limited, so grab your ticket now!
