Edinburgh International Technology Festival
23rd & 24th August 2013
Turing 2013 takes place at the height of the Edinburgh Festival, the worlds largest arts and cultural event. This year we are also expanding the Turing Fringe with events taking place throughout the month.
Turing is a festival that brings together digital technology and the web within the world's largest arts and creative gathering in a celebration of digital culture and creativity. Named in honour of Alan Turing, father of modern computing, the festival moves beyond traditional tech conferences to explore the ways in which technology is affecting all aspects of culture and society. We are delighted this year to be partnering with the Edinburgh International Festival on the theme of Art and Digital.
Edinburgh in August is the planet's largest gathering of performers, artists and creators. Our three days of Turing are situated in the heart of the city during this time, allowing our guests to experience some of the finest entertainment in the world alongside the most outstanding technology. Join us for tech during the day and nights full of comedy, performance, music and mayhem.
We also host a number of extra events in addition to the core Turing Festival. Together these make up the Turing Fringe and they include many free and hands-on events. For 2013 we are very excited to be expanding the Turing Fringe, with a wide variety of tech events running throughout August.
If being in the heart of the world's largest Arts and Cultural festival isn't enough for you, we hold a number of social events throughout our weekend, culminating in the Turing Afterparties. Hang out with speakers and fellow techies in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
