What I'd Change, Keep the Same, and Don't Yet Know
In 2004, Rand started a blog that, 12 years later, became a $40mm+/year software business. Along the way, Moz raised $28 million dollars from venture investors, served tens of thousands of customers, employed a team of over 200, made 6 acquisitions, and suffered through many frustrating setbacks, too. In this presentation, Rand will talk about what he's learned, and what he's still hoping to learn from the Moz adventure.
Rand Fishkin uses the ludicrous title 'Wizard of Moz'. He’s founder and former CEO of SEO/analytics platform Moz, co-author of a pair of books on SEO, co-founder of Inbound.org and serves on the board of presentation software startup Haiku Deck. Rand’s an unsaveable addict of all things content, search, and social on the web.
